1. Who we are

FreightSpace is operated by Hawkins Capital LLC ("we", "us", "our"). Hawkins Capital LLC is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.

2. What we collect

• Account information: name, email address, password (hashed), and business contact details.
• Business content: carrier and broker records, loads, documents, templates, e-signature records, and communications you create in the Service.
• Support messages: messages you send us and any information you include in them.
• Usage and telemetry: pages visited, features used, device and browser information, IP address, and log data used for security, debugging, and product improvement.
• Cookies and similar technologies: essential cookies to keep you signed in and to secure the app.

Payment card data is collected and processed by our payment provider (Paddle) as Merchant of Record. We do not receive full card numbers.

3. Why we use it

• To create and secure your account and provide the Service (contract performance).
• To send transactional emails, e-signature notifications, and product updates (contract performance, legitimate interests).
• To prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents (legitimate interests, legal obligation).
• To improve FreightSpace based on aggregated usage patterns (legitimate interests).
• To respond to your support requests (contract performance).
• To comply with legal obligations (legal obligation).

4. Who we share it with

• Service providers (subprocessors): hosting, database and storage, transactional email delivery, and AI document processing providers we use to run the Service. Access is limited to what they need to perform their function.
• Merchant of Record: Paddle.com processes your subscription payments, handles taxes and invoicing, and manages refunds. See Paddle's privacy policy.
• Professional advisors: legal, accounting, and similar professionals under duties of confidentiality.
• Authorities: where we are required to by law, court order, or valid legal process.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after cancellation to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

6. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise a right, contact us through the app's support channel. If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. We aim to respond within one month.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Cookies

FreightSpace uses essential cookies required to keep you signed in and to secure your session. We do not use advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling essential cookies will prevent the app from working.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice.
